What are the general requirements to hire a car?
Renter/Driver must:
- Be at least 23 years old and possess a driving license for at least one year in order for the terms and conditions to the prices listed to be applied. In case the driver is younger than 23 years of age please contact the company for more information.
- Be the holder of a credit card (or debit card to which the necessary amounts will be available) for the pre-approval of the amounts related to the guarantee, the advance payment the payment of the rental costs (for unpaid deductions) and the costs for the extra coverages.
- Have a driver’s license for at least 1 year. His driving license must be Greek, European (for EU countries) or International (for countries outside the EU). For more information please contact us.
Do you allow additional drivers?
Yes, the extra drivers have to be added to your contract. This can be requested during the process of completing your contract, at the service point.
The additional driver must meet the rental requirements and be the holder of a valid driver’s license which he must present before renting the car.
What is the amount of the required guarantee deposit?
Upon receipt of the car, a guarantee amount will be committed on the driver’s credit card, which will be refunded at the end of the rental, if no other charges arise. The release of the amount can take up to 10 days depending on the issuing bank of the card. The warranty amount varies by car category.
Which cards are accepted for online payments?
Accepted cards are Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Prepaid cards are not accepted.
Will I receive confirmation for my reservation?
Upon succesfull completion of your reservation, you will receive a confirmation email on the address you provided during your reservation.
Can I make a change in my reservation?
Please contact us directly in case you need to change your reservation in order to provide the best information regarding availability and charges.
What happens if I cancel my reservation?
For prepaid reservations, if you cancel your reservation up to 48 hours before the start of the rental, the full amount of the reservation will be returned to your card. Otherwise you will be refunded the amount of the deduction deducted during the charge of € 35 (late cancellation fee), within three (3) working days. If you make a prepaid reservation within 48 hours of the start of the rental, and it is then canceled, you will be refunded the total cost of your reservation deducted from the late payment fee of € 35.
In reservations where payment is made upon receipt of the car, cancellation is allowed until the start of your rental period .
What happens if I do not show up on the specified pick-up date and time? Is there a charge?
In case you do not show-up on the pick-up time that you provided during your reservation, with no prior written notification, we retain the right to cancel your booking after the end of a 29 minutes grace period and charge a no-show fee. For prepaid reservations, your card will be refunded the amount of the reservation deducted by the no-show fee.
Can I make a reservation with a card which I'm not the cardholder?
No. In order to receive the car, the cardholder with whom the reservation was made must be present, as the cardholder will sign the lease as a driver.
Are extra charges applied in case I return the car late?
Up to a 30 minute delay period no extra charges apply. In case the return is later than 30 minutes there will be a charge of one extra day.
Do I get a refund for an early return?
No refunds apply in case of earlier returns.
What should I do if there is a technical problem with the car?
In this unpleasant case you should contact roadside assistance (24-hour service). Then contact our office.
What should I do in case I'm involved in an accident?
You should immediately notify the police authorities. Then contact our office.
Can I travel outside of Greece?
No Atos Exclusive Drives rental cars are not allowed to cross Greece’s borders.
